We founded Mima in 2019 after graduating from MSU. In awe of the cannabis plant and determined to make medicine we trust, we decided to try our hands at growing our own. We farm a small plot of land in the Lake Michigan water basin - the ancestral homelands of the Potawatomi - or what is now called Edwardsburg, Michigan.

Our Ingredients

We use full-spectrum, cannabinoid rich distillate below 0.3% THC. This means you are getting all the natural terpenes, flavonoids, and cannabinoids of the hemp plant, but it will not get you high like smoking marijuana. The ingredients we don’t grow ourselves (yet!) we source with local, fair-trade and organic as top priorities. Staying up to date on the latest cannabis research is a priority for us and it informs our product formulation. All of our products are third-party lab tested to ensure safety.

Ordering from us

Everything we sell can be purchased and shipped legally in all 50 U.S states. When you receive a package from us, it will contain a copy of our Hemp Processor-Handler license, and a Certificate of Analysis. When you’re finished using your product you can recycle the glass part of your tincture bottle, or the entire aluminum tin that your salve comes in. If you have any questions or you would like a refund email us at: [email protected].

Values

Environmental sustainability is important to us. We use organic farming methods that sequester carbon from the atmosphere and put it back to the soil where it belongs. We never use pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. Everything is done by hand on a small scale. Our packaging is designed to utilize the most sustainable materials available. We believe hemp has a great potential to heal not only our bodies but the Earth, and being in a healthy relationship with the land is important to us.

We believe in social equity and the freedom to use cannabis recreationally, medicinally, and spiritually. The War on Drugs put millions of people in prison for cannabis and was heavily racially biased against Black, Latinx, Indegnous and people of color. We must put our efforts toward undoing these wrongs. Even as the legal cannabis industry grows, people still suffer the harm done by discriminatory police practices. We support legalization and clearing people’s records of cannabis convictions. We encourage you to donate to Last Prisoner Project when you checkout on our website. “Through legal intervention, public education and legislative advocacy, we work to redress the past and continuing harms of our country’s unjust and ineffective approach to drug policy.” - LPP
